At Flower Power, our journey began with Jay Ravi’s deep-rooted passion for flowers, nurtured since childhood. Her love for floral artistry took a transformative turn in 1997 when she had the opportunity to design floral arrangements for her sister’s wedding. The overwhelming admiration she received from guests sparked a lifelong pursuit of floristry.
Determined to refine her skills, Jay earned her City & Guilds Certificate in Floristry in 1999. While undergoing training, she simultaneously launched her floristry business in London, turning her passion into a thriving profession.
Her talent soon gained recognition, with her first media feature in Eastern Eye Magazine. This exposure opened doors to prestigious opportunities, making her the official florist for renowned publications such as Asian Wedding and Asiana from 2000 to 2008. Her exquisite floral designs further graced the pages of the country’s top wedding magazines, including You & Your Wedding, Brides, Cosmopolitan Brides, and Vogue.
Jay’s expertise and artistry earned her a place as a Member of the British Florist Association, and she became a sought-after floral designer for high-profile hotel events across London.

Floristry is all I know, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.” After more than two decades of dedication, Jay found herself reflecting on her journey and longing to bring the art of floristry to her homeland, India. This dream became a reality in 2016, when her son, Ashok Ravi, and daughter-in-law, Arul, shared her vision and joined forces to introduce Flower Power to India.
